Here you’ll find out about familiar Herbs of the kitchen ~ parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme and mint. There is also Basil and Coriander the well-known Mediterranean herbs. Of course there are Lavender and Wild Roses which provide amazing scents and oils which have wonderful healing properties.
Some you may have bumped into while visiting garden centres. Maybe tarragon or chamomile. Some of the commonest herbs masquerade as vegetables ~ I’m sure you’ve heard of garlic?
Then there are the beautiful bee attracting herbs Echinancea and Bergamot which adorn many gardens.
But their names will be familiar but may be less so their stories. Yes! There are tales to tell about them … not just about how they grow and whether they taste good to eat. Did you know that Rosemary has always been considered to improve your memory!
